This course is designed as an introductory series of lessons about Educational Robotics with Edison, 3D Printing and Internet of Things(IoT) with NodeMCU, designed for students aged 15 to 17.
In this course you will be introduced to Robotics, by programming an Edison (robot) to move forward and backward and turning right and left. You will participate in a mini maze and speed maze challenge, you will code your robot to detect and stop/avoid obstacles. You will learn how to make your robot dance in response to a clap, respond to light, follow a light and play music.
With your fellow students you will program your robots to communicate with each other by using your smartphone.
Next you will be introduced to 3D printing and you will have a chance to print your object.
You will then be introduced to Internet of Things and NodeMCU platform where you will get to experiment with LEDs, sensors for monitoring temperature and humidity through widgets and create binary numbers with push-buttons.
At the end of the course you will be able to produce an overall project using smart home concepts, relays, sensors and weather monitoring.
